I offer several levels of service, as well as some extras. Whether you need a full design plan ready to hand off to a contractor, or just need advice on taking care of your garden, I can help with every step. If you are not sure where you’d like to start, I recommend beginning with a consultation. Your consultation fee will be credited towards your design plan, if you choose to move forward with that service.

Landscape Consultation
We will walk your property and discuss your vision, goals, and any challenges you're facing with your space. I will assess your current yard based on how you’d like to use your outdoor area, and any questions you have. We can cover anything from plant identification, pruning, material selection, layout of outdoor ‘rooms’, new garden beds or revamping existing areas.
I'll offer tailored recommendations and design ideas that suit your needs. At the end of our meeting, you'll leave with notes and sketches to help you take actionable steps toward transforming your space.
Kitchen Garden Consultation
Similar to a landscape consultation, for this service we will focus in depth on the kitchen garden. This can be done whether you have an existing kitchen garden or are starting from scratch. At the end of the meeting, you will have notes and sketches to bring your garden to life.
If you do not have an existing kitchen garden, we will walk your yard to identify the best location. I will sketch out multiple design/layout options, discuss design techniques, and explain how to select and install materials to make the space functional, beautiful, and productive. We’ll also cover what to plant, when and how to plant it, garden maintenance, pest control, and harvesting tips tailored to your goals and what you would like to harvest.
If you have an existing kitchen garden and just need help taking it to the next level, we will spend the time covering any questions or pain points, and dive deeper into specific topics and gardening techniques to improve your space.
DIY Garden Support
This service is perfect if you don’t need a full landscape design plan but still need some specific direction and information for a small portion of your property. For example, if have a smaller area like a garden bed or patio that you would like a design layout for, plant lists, a maintenance schedule for your existing garden. This is also great if you would like a full kitchen garden design and planting plan. We can adjust the scope of work to exactly what you need and to fit your budget.
Typically this involves a site visit, and I will deliver refined drawings, schedules, plant and material lists, or whatever you need to get your project done.
This service is great if you are planning to DIY. This is billed at an hourly rate and will typically take between 2-10 hours depending on the scope of work.
Full Design Plan
A full design can be created for your full property, or just your front or back yard. The plan will include detailed drawings, complete plant and materials lists (with quantities, sizes, and estimated costs), plant information, installation guidance, and a maintenance schedule - everything you need to install and maintain your dream landscape.
This process begins with a consultation, followed by measuring the site and creating a site map. Using this, I will develop two preliminary designs customized to your style, budget, and maintenance level preferences. We will collaborate along the way using Pinterest, reference photos, or a mood board. We will meet to discuss the plans, make edits, and finalize the design.
The final design and supporting documents mentioned above will will provide you with everything you need to DIY or hand off the plans to a landscape contractor. I do not offer installation services but can provide contractor referrals or work with your preferred contractor. Billing for this service is done split into thirds.
Client representative Service
Once you have your design plan, I work with contractors to oversee the installation of your landscape. This helps to ensure everything is implemented exactly as we have designed. This service also works for other applications, for example I can work with contractors to oversee a smaller project such as installing a privacy hedge or overhauling your lawn. This service is charged at an hourly rate or a percentage of the installation price.
Coaching
Whether you are new to gardening, want to improve your skills, or inherited a garden that you know nothing about, personalized coaching sessions will help you gain confidence in your existing garden. Learn essential gardening techniques, the 3 keys to maintaining a thriving and productive garden, seasonal care tips, and receive hands-on support tailored to your garden. At the end of a coaching session or series of sessions, you will feel confident in tending your garden.
